Broadway, TV and film actress Julie Harris died at her home in West Chatham, Massachusetts on Saturday of congestive heart failure. The legendary performer, who appeared on Broadway in many roles from Sally Bowles in I Am a Camera to the reclusive Emily Dickinson in The Belle of Amherst, won five Tony awards over the course of her 60+ year career. In 2002, she was awarded with a special lifetime achievement award, making it her sixth Tony award. She was nominated at the age of 26 for an Oscar for her work in The Member of the Wedding, playing a disgruntled 12-year-old named Frankie. Harris also won three Emmy Awards, but she may be best known for playing Lilimae Clements on the TV series Knots Landing from 1980 to 1987. Harris, who was married and divorced three times, leaves behind a son, Peter, from her second marriage.
