Passenger identified in Jackass crash

Zachary Hartwell, 30, has been identified as the passenger who was killed when the car Jackass star Ryan Dunn was driving went off the road, crashed and burst into flames yesterday morning. Hartwell is pictured at right in the photo Dunn posted to Twitter of himself with two friends, drinking at a bar, less than two hours before the accident. Sources who were at the bar with the two men told TMZ that Dunn was driving Hartwell home, and after dropping him off, he’d planned to hang out with another friend. One of Dunn’s drinking buddies revealed that Dunn drank three light beers and downed three shots in four hours. Hartwell is listed as a production assistant on Jackass Number Two and was credited as a car stunt driver in Minghags, the 2009 movie directed by Jackass star Bam Margera.

RIP fellas, I just can’t help but think alcohol was a factor in this crash..considering this photo was taken 2 hours before the crash…such a shame.
I lost friends that way, it’s always a tragedy but it makes it even more tragic when it could have been easily avoided.
Yep, Jackass sounds about right. Speeding and drinking, killing someone else along with yourself. Sorry, don’t have sympathy for someone that stupid.

Pot isn’t going to make you crash, though mixing it with booze might. And I’m sorry, I know someone else died, but dude knew he was getting in the car with someone who had been drinking and maybe getting stoned. He was right there next to Ryan boozing it up as you can plainly see. It’s called survival of the fittest. If he was dumb enough to get in the car then he’s fit to suffer the same fate. That being said, any loss of life is a tragedy. For you to say you simply “don’t have sympathy” is a very sheltered, ugly thing to say. Unless you’ve never ever made an ill advised decision, and nobody you love has either. Which isn’t true. So get over yourself and have some feeling for his family if nothing else, and show some respect.

Hey first off this is some shit that these fellas did on a regular basis…..so it shouldn’t be a suprise to any of us. Ryan Dunn is a legend and went out like one too!
