We Are Marshall

When Marshall University's entire champion football team is killed in a tragic plane crash -- including all of its players and coaches -- the university president sees no other option than to suspend the school's football program indefinitely. But the town of Huntington, where football is more than just a game, refuses to accept his decision. The harrowing task of building the team back up falls to outsider Jack Lengyel (Matthew McConaughey), the Thundering Herd's newest coach. With the help of the spirited community, Lengyel leads the team to its first big game since the devastating accident.

Not including “any given Sunday” is bad enough, but to put “gridiron gang” and “The Longest Yard” in front of “Remember the Titans” is downright criminal. Anyone remember a movie called “The Program”? it was deserving a lot more than some others to be on that list.
