Piers Morgan to interview Lady Gaga after dissing her PTSD claims

‘s outspoken views have a way of getting him in hot water, and the latest celebrity he’s pitted against is Lady Gaga.
Following the “Perfect Illusion” singer’s revelation that she struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder triggered by being raped when she was 19, Piers lashed out and called her claims “vain-glorious nonsense.” He added that she only opened up about her past to “promote” herself.
To set the record straight, the two have agreed to an interview that will surely ruffle feathers and ignite a heated debate. The interview has yet to be scheduled.
The 30-year-old singer-songwriter-actress first discussed her case of PTSD on a segment for Today, in which she paid a New York LGBTQ homeless center a visit. Following the segment, she posted a letter to her Born This Way Foundation website, further addressing the disorder. She also applauded Madonna, who recently spoke about feminism, sexism and misogyny at the Billboard Women in Music awards.
Piers, 51, entered the Twitter conversation when he denounced Gaga’s claims and said her story, as well as Madonna’s revelation of rape, are only “allegations” as the pop stars did not file police reports.
It didn’t take long for Gaga to diplomatically respond on Twitter. She said she would “love to share” with Piers why women don’t report instances of rape, and would also be open to discussing PTSD and the “mental health youth epidemic.”
Their exchange escalated, however, to the point that Gaga said, “if you continue to shame me in the process of kindly agreeing to interview w/ u I’ll happily do the interview with someone else.”

The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil said TV presenter Piers Morgan almost drove her to suicide last year. She’s one of many who have a complaint with him.
It’s labelled PTSD for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, not Post Traumatic Military Stress Disorder. Piers can’t just categorize PTSD strictly for soldiers only. If you are kidnapped and stuck in a room for weeks months or years, you come out and you will have some psychological damage or a disorder for a while. It can manifest itself in many ways. What, it can’t be a post traumatic disorder???? Big deal if she dresses strangely and makes music. She’s already relevant and insanely popular, I don’t think that she needs the rape publicity to make her more popular. Sheesh. If she did then shame on her, but I highly doubt it. And if this helps women start reporting these issues, then it’s a positive thing to bring light to.
I was robbed of christmas gifts three days before the event several years ago. A male youth with a winter coat, hooded so I couldn’t see him ran up behind me and took my things.
I got so angry at first and then when it hit me that even though it wasn’t a violent act it was still hurtful to my wallet and it could have been violent especially when I chased after him, I stopped when I got to the unlit area because I didn’t know if I could catch him and then what? or would he be waiting in the dark and try to hurt me if I did catch up.
I got someone to let me wait in there car while the police came and they looked around with dogs but couldn’t find anyone. A couple walking their dog found my bag with most of the stuff I had bought still in it because it was nothing a young man would want except the t-shirts I had bought my step dad, which I had to spend more money re-buying, but my point is that I had ptsd for about a year to two years after that and jumped whenever anyone would run up behind me.
I understand having it for much longer from an assault.
Piers Morgan is a douche
According to a leading Canadian psychiatrist who presented at a PTSD conference I attended in London Ontario in October 2013 (his name escapes me), PTSD is caused by a moral injury that the brain cannot process. Obviously this happens in military situations but any trauma can become PTSD. Rape, sexual assault, divorce, witnessing suicide, even extreme poverty can all be moral injuries which cannot be processed effectively by the brain and result in PTSD. Piers Morgan is hardly a quality interviewer for Lady Gaga to discuss this topic with. I’d rather see her reward an audience with her insights through a quality interviewer like Ellen DeGeneres or Oprah where there is time to properly discuss the topic. Morgan is a self-aggrandizing goof.
