Pink stops concert for crying girl

By Alexandra Heilbron on March 21, 2013 | 12 Comments

During a concert in Philadelphia last Sunday, Pink was in the middle of singing her hit “Who Knew” when she noticed a little girl crying. She stopped and asked, “Is everything okay right here? Is this little girl all right? What’s going on?” Some of the audience members told her there was an altercation back there. Pink said, “You all are fighting around a little girl? C’mon man.” The singer picked up a plush frog and a wrapped treat from the stage and held them out, saying, “Honey, do you want this frog? Will this frog and this Rice Krispie treat make you feel better?” The little girl was lifted up but was too shy to come up to the front, so Pink handed them to the people in front to pass back to her. She told the girl, “You’re beautiful. Don’t cry. Cry when you’re older.” She then addressed the crowd, saying, “Are we okay now? Cut it out, y’all. We’re grown-ass women.” As the crowd cheered in agreement, Pink asked her guitarist to start the song from the beginning.

When are people going to leave their children at home where they belong when they go out to adult events. Sick of kids being places they shouldnt be. If they go to things like this when they are kids what are they going to have to look forward to as adults. Leave your kids with the babysitter and go out by yourselves. Pink’s songs are not for kids.

Now that she is a Mom herself she understands the needs of children. Maybe she has always been this compassionate, I do not know but what she did for that little girl was great. If the little girl is a fan of Pinks why not bring her out to the concert? As a Mom and a Grandmother I feel inclusion is better than exclusion anyday!

Very impressed with Pink & her handling of the situation.
I do agree with Janie that people should leave their kids at home, as this type of concert isn’t for children.
And why are people fighting at a concert??????

Irregardless of whether it was the right or wrong thing to bring the child to the concert-fact is, the child was there, and the child was crying. Pink saw the child crying and did her very best to make it all better. Pink has ALWAYS had a big heart, and this is just another situation that shows it in living color. Big HUGZ to you, Pink…you rock…now and always!!

Pink has class and consideration stopping for a brief moment to console a crying child showing she is also a great mother to her own child.

There was 2 ladies fighting in the crowd. They were pushing each other back and forth. The little girl got scared and started crying. It was really awesome of PINK to stop the song to consoled the little girl. PINK’s fan comes in all ages so, it was normal for half the crowds to be kids. The problem was 2 grown women fighting when they could have just talk it out. If you’re going to a concert with an attitude please stay at home. Don’t be a killjoy.

PINK I have always admired your style and the way you stand up for what you believe… This is just another instance of You being Real. Keep on being just YOU whether it is with people that Love & Admire you or Haters !!!
