Pirates plunder weekend box office

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides had the biggest box office opening weekend to date this year, taking in an estimated $90.2 million (all figures U.S.) in North America and earning a 3.6 star rating out of 5 from Tribute viewers. Bridesmaids retained its second place finish with an additional $20.9 million. Tribute viewers rated it 3 stars. Thor dropped two spots to third, earning an extra $15.5 million, receiving 4 out of 5 stars from Tribute viewers. Fast Five slid a spot from third to fourth place, taking in an additional $10.6 million and keeping its 4 star Tribute viewer rating. Rounding out the top five was the sci-fi thriller Priest starring Paul Bettany, earning an additional $4.75 million and 3.7 stars from Tribute viewers.
