Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Director Mike Newell introduce the character of Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal), a young man who gets plucked off the streets and is taken in by the King of Persia. Dastan comes across a mystical dagger that allows him to travel in time, a dagger that is sought after by a dark power which would change the course of history if it were to possess it. It is up to Dastan to protect the dagger and the fate of his world.

Horrible casting. Should’ve gotten someone less goofy looking. Given its a Disney production, its gonna be lame. Which is too bad, it had a lot of promise.
