Anika Noni Rose, who provided the voice of Princess Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, was onhand for the celebration when Tiana arrived by carriage at the Grand Ballroom at the historic New York Palace in Manhattan to be officially crowned the ninth member of the beloved Disney Princess Royal Court. As the newest Disney Princess, Tiana will forever be recognized as a Disney Princess across all divisions of the Walt Disney Company. Also joining the celebration were a host of celebrity guests including Tina Fey, Melissa Joan Hart, Kelly Rutherford and Audra McDonald, along with Disney Princess cast members Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, and Snow White, and Prince Naveen. The event celebrated the March 16th arrival of The Princess and the Frog on Disney Blu-Ray and DVD. Enter to win a copy on Tribute by going to the contests section of our website.

That’s not Anika Noni Rose in the photo. That is the Princess Tiana costumed character. Anika Noni Rose is the voice and character reference model for the animated character of Tiana.
