RCMP follow up Pamela Anderson’s rape claims

By Tribute on May 22, 2014 | 8 Comments

The former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, 46, who grew up in Ladysmith, B.C., revealed during the launch of her new animal charity at the Cannes Film Festival that she experienced several sexual attacks during her childhood. “I did not have an easy childhood,” Anderson said. “Despite loving parents, I was molested from age six to 10 by my female babysitter.” Anderson then revealed an ordeal she suffered at hands of a friend: “His [friend’s] older brother decided to teach me backgammon, which led into a back massage, which led into rape — my first heterosexual experience. He was 25-years-old, and I was 12.” She also alleged that in grade nine her first boyfriend “decided it would be funny to gang rape me with six of his friends.”  The actress said her history with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and her animal rights advocacy “saved her,” when the incidents she talked about left her feeling like she “wanted off this Earth.”

RCMP in British Columbia are reaching out to the actress to discuss the allegations and getting an investigator to contact her. “Given the sensitive nature of these allegations, and out of respect for Ms. Anderson’s privacy, we will provide no further comment at this time,” said RCMP Cpl. Darren Lagan. ~Alexandra Sharova

So 35 years later, she talks to the media, about some indecent sexual allegations, the the RCMP, says are private. If that is the case, why didn’t she just go to the police, and have it handled the right way, in the first place.
Me thinks that someone with very little talent, is still looking for attention. What a delusional way, to get yourself back in the media. Nothing new here, this has been done before. If the allegations are true,I feel for her, but it seems that she just wants everybody to feel for her, maybe just 1 more time, before she fades into the background.

The number of cases that are not investigated in this country when it comes to child sexual assault….the number of times they say “not worth prosecuting” because it is the victim’s word against the offender’s word and there is no chance of conviction. Reports about child porn and no charges because no proof the offender actually was the one who downloaded it. But Pam Anderson opens her mouth and they are investigating right away. I wish all the other victims of this horrendous crime got as much immediate action.

I wonder why some women have multiple stories of this kind? Is it because they don’t have parents to protect them? How do you get molested, then raped, then gang raped? After the first one, wouldn’t you be more careful who you’re with? I’m just saying, because I hear of this more often, if it was one time by one person but how do these people attract so many sexual abusers?

I will be saying prayers for Pamela it doesn’t matter why she just now spoke of it, she must have reached a point in her life where she is ready to start dealing with this, the pain and hurt that she is dealing with in her own way. I would like to add Pamela it does get easier to talk about it after awhile but you have to keep talking about it for it not to hurt so much. she has opened a door she had closed for such a long time, prayers that you get support from family or friends.
I would recommend seeing psychologist and make sure they are really good that they actually are helping you. Time to pick yourself back up Pamela dust yourself off and keep going, onto a path of healing.

There is no statute of limitations on the rape of a minor, Tracy.

I totally believe her. When you are a pretty girl you can become a magnet for creeps very easily.
it happened to myself as a kid and then later in life to my own daughter. Prosecutors are up to their necks in cases and they take the cases with the most proof of the crime . It helps to hire a lawyer ..if you can afford it. That usually gets their attention fast !. Believe me ..been there..done that. Go Pammy !
