Ryan Gosling is gearing up to make his directorial debut. The film, titled How to Catch a Monster, has garnered some famous names in the cast. There are even speculations, reported by New York magazine Vulture, that the 32-year-old actor has cast none other than his off-screen girlfriend Eva Mendes. The fantasy film, still in pre-production, is set in a “vanishing city” and apparently includes an “underwater town.” One thing is certain - Ryan called up his Drive co-star Christina Hendricks and offered her a role in the new movie. The actress told Vulture, "I'm sure it will be incredibly clever, and Ryan already has storyboards and pictures of neighborhoods and homes, and he's already collecting music for it ... when you read it, it gives you the feeling, maybe, of a memory. Something from your childhood that you can't really pinpoint."
