Ryan Gosling on ‘Hollywood hiatus’

By Tribute on March 22, 2013 | 4 Comments

Ryan Gosling, 32, says he’s taking a break from acting. He told The Associated Press that he’s lost perspective on what he’s doing and needs time to reassess. In taking a step back from acting, he hopes to find some clarity. “I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.” Ryan has been involved in the entertainment business since the age of eight as a member of The Mickey Mouse Club. His breakout role was as Noah in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks‘ romantic novel The Notebook. The Hollywood heartthrob also shares, “It’s a lot of pressure to be the lead in a film. It’s not my favorite way to work.” He stars opposite real-life girlfriend Eva Mendes, 39, in The Place Beyond Pines, which is set to release on April 12, and has finished production on two more movies. ~E.Guevarra

Ryan is a great actor and a great person off screen. The ones that need reflecting time is the ones that can’t act or got mommy and daddy’s influences.
