Ryan Reynolds calls friend’s betrayal ‘like a death’

By Tribute News on September 22, 2015 | 5 Comments

Ryan ReynoldsRyan Reynolds recently revealed that he was devastated when he discovered one of his friends he’d known his entire life had tried to sell pictures of his baby.

He told GQ magazine: ”A guy that I’d known for my whole life, one of my closest friends growing up, he had been shopping pictures of my baby around. I kind of got in front of it, which is good. But it was a slightly dark period. A bad couple of weeks… It was like a death. It was like one of those devastating things to find out.”

The Deadpool actor – who has a nine-month-old daughter James with 28-year-old wife Blake Lively – joked he had to sit the tot down and explain the difference between men and women to her.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he revealed: ”She’s saying ‘Mama.’ What my wife doesn’t know is (James) calls me ‘Mama’ too. Seriously. I literally had to sit her down and tell her that penises don’t work that way. She understands – she gets it.”

Ryan also insisted that he is no longer cool since becoming a dad.

The 38-year-old actor said: ”I’ve definitely lost all cool. I’m the dad guy now.”

Not that this excuses it, but maybe rich people should take a look at their friends and see if they’re desperate for money and maybe give them a hand. Reynolds has millions. If this guy needed some cash, he could easily have given him a few thousand bucks.

    Well Cliff,

If his friend was that desperate he should have asked for cash, not shop his kid’s pictures around (and don’t give the “embarrassed to ask” excuse). If he has no shame in selling those kid photos, he shouldn’t have shame to ask.

The guy was just trying to make a chunk of cash. I would feel betrayed also. Imagine what else this guy could have end up selling if he got away with this one?
Money and jealousy do terrible things to people.
They don’t owe you money just because you are friends and they are famous and rich.
Sounds like he wanted in on the cash cow. Glad Ryan caught him before he took full advantage of them.
That isn’t a true friend. He is a blood sucking leech! Good to cut ties now as you know what he’s really worth trust wise to you.
He can’t have people such as him in his own private world. He certainly needs true friends who like him just because. Not because he’s famous and money can be made from him.

Ps. I’m sure he treats his good friends to nice dinners and possibly vacations too.
If people need more money they should do what they would have done if Ryan didn’t exist.
Get another job, reconsolidating your bills. Borrow from the bank or your parents. Don’t expect that people who sometimes involve you in their lavish lifestyle, need to by any means keep them in the same status and lifestyle outside of their friendship? Do they think they are similar to an X wife or something?

Cliff: Some people don’t NEED the money, they just WANT the money.
