Ryan ReynoldsRyan Reynolds was hit by a car on Friday, April 10.

The 38-year-old actor is currently filming Deadpool in Vancouver, Canada and was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Shangri-La hotel in the city, though he was unhurt.

Police Constable Brian Montague confirmed: ”We attended and investigated the hit-and-run in the parking lot on Friday and there were no injuries.”

Ryan — who has four-month-old daughter James with wife Blake Lively — was struck by a paparazzi photographer, but the unnamed driver fled the scene afterwards.

His spokesperson, Leslie Sloane, said: ”While walking, Ryan was struck by a paparazzi driving a car through an underground parking garage. The man fled the scene. Ryan is OK.”

A representative for the hotel confirmed emergency services had been called immediately after ”a guest” was ”involved in a motor vehicle incident” and that they are co-operating fully with police investigating what happened. The Green Lantern star joked about the incident on Twitter when a reporter asked how he was doing and gave him his phone number for a reaction.

Referring to a popular Canadian TV series, which ran from 1972 to 1990, he replied: ”Put Beachcombers back on the air and I’ll call.”
