Seth MacFarlane asked to host 2014 Oscars

By Tribute on April 22, 2013 | 5 Comments

Despite getting mixed reviews for being a controversial host, Academy producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan have invited Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane to host the 2014 Oscars. This year’s ceremony had 40.3 million viewers tuning in, a two per cent jump from last year’s 39.3 million, and ratings were up 11 per cent in the 18-49 demographic, the prime target for advertisers. When a follower asked on Twitter if he would host the Oscars again, MacFarlane responded, “No Way. Lotta fun to have done it, though.” The 2014 Oscars will take place in the middle of production of his new western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West and as well, Ted 2 is set to shoot soon, so MacFarlane will be busy. Apparently, producers have asked him to let them know within the next two weeks whether or not he is planning to accept the gig. If he rejects the offer, Justin Timberlake is rumored to fill the spot. ~E. Guevarra

Probably just rumours. I don’t know why hosts always wants to be controversial. You can be funny and respectable at the same time.

Why would I want either one of them to host the Oscars???

    BILLY BILLY BILLY!
But I think Seth did a very decent job. If it was too edgy, well look at his humour..duh. Great stuff.
