When asked by ET what the tone of the Academy Awards ceremony will be this year, host Seth MacFarlane answered, “I think everybody’s fair game.” He also shared a laugh about how he “foolishly said yes” after receiving a call offering him the gig, adding, "The whole point of their bringing me on was to give it a little bit more of an edge... but it is a balance, because you have a room full of people who are at the top of their game -- they're successful, they're being honored, they're attractive -- and yet it's also the group with the thinnest skin on the planet." Performers announced for this year's Oscars include Jennifer Hudson, Hugh Jackman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Amanda Seyfried, Barbra Streisand and Adele. Kristen Chenoweth will be doing a closing number with MacFarlane, which has been described as a "can’t miss moment" by the producers. The Academy Awards air this Sunday, February 24 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC. ~ E. Guevarra
