Sons of Anarchy actor dead after murdering landlady

Johnny Lewis, who most recently starred as Kid “Half-Sack” Epps on the FX series Sons of Anarchy, was found dead on the driveway of the property where he lived on Wednesday. He was 28. Also found dead at the property was 81-year-old Catherine Davis — his landlady — who was beaten to death, as well as her pet cat, whom he kicked and beat to death, “tearing it apart” with his bare hands. It’s believed Lewis murdered them.  Lewis had been released from jail six days earlier. He was sentenced to a year in L.A. County jail with three years of probation after pleading no contest to one count of assault with a deadly weapon. Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter released a statement on his WhoSay account that read: “It was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way. I wish I could say that I was shocked by the events last night, but I was not. I am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path.”

Family sources told TMZ Johnny was a “good guy” who only had trouble after experimenting with an unnamed drug earlier this year. He had a “psychotic break” and became mentally unstable. Neighbors witnessed the murders and tried to stop him, but he fought them off and fled to the roof, where he then fell to his death. It’s believed he was on on PCP or meth while committing the murders. Lewis had also appeared on the TV series The O.C. as Chili, the Fox sitcom The Quintuplets in the role of Pearce Chase, in the NBC series American Dreams as Lenny and in the 2010 movie The Runaways with Kristen Stewart.

What is California doing letting violent people out of jail so they can murder innocent people? I hope that lady’s family sues the government. They have to stop letting people out after serving a ridiculously small amount of their sentences.

It’s sad that we only seem to think of the person murdered and not the person who was in need of friends and help. Just shows money can’t buy everything Where were his friends and family when he needed them them the most. I feel bad for the person murdered and her cat. She was probably the only one that was trying to help him and unfortunately she became the victim.

Well, fifi, I for one don’t feel bad for a cold blooded murderer who killed an innocent elderly lady and ripped her cat to pieces. I am thankful he fell off the GD roof so we don’t have to have him out in a few months again so he can take some more drugs (I doubt he was forced to take them, either the day he committed these horrifying acts or the first time he took them) and kill and maim some more. A murder and torturer is dead. One less piece of evil in the world.

We may never know why he was taking the drugs and I see your point fifi, but amen Shelly. I mean, really, what did the cat do to anyone?
