Stan Lee confirms Avengers 2 cameo

For well over a decade now, Marvel has released superhero film after superhero film. Studios, casts and characters have come and gone, but the one constant has been a cameo appearance by charismatic comic book creator, Stan Lee, who, at the spry age of 92, has just wrapped filming a bit part in 2015’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the sequel to the 2012 superhero team-up movie. Although Lee remained mum on the nature of his on-screen pop-up, it sounds like he spent some quality time with the God of Thunder. “The fellow who plays Thor (Chris Hemsworth) – he’s wonderful! I was with him yesterday. And Chris (Evans) who plays Captain America… He’s excellent,” says Lee.

But like the intercompany crossovers of the comics, Stan “The Man” is interested in branching out into the DC Universe with an appearance in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. “DC could probably make a lot more money with Superman and Batman if they announced that I’d have a cameo in it! People wouldn’t believe it – they’d have to go to the theater to see it!” ~Daniel Horowitz
