Step Up Revolution on Blu-ray/DVD

Emily (Kathryn McCormick), in her quest to become a professional dancer, travels to Miami to launch her career. She soon falls in love with Sean (Ryan Guzman), the leader of a dance crew called The Mob that performs elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs. The Mob strives to win a YouTube competition, for which they need to attain 10 million views in order to win the grand prize. Emily’s father (Peter Gallagher), a wealthy businessman, tries to drive a wedge between his daughter and Sean by threatening to build a fancy hotel that will displace thousands of people and destroy The Mob’s historic neighborhood, so Emily persuades Sean to protest her father’s plan by reaching viewers through the popularity of the competition.
This is the fourth installment in the Step Up series. With a bevy of talented dancers, the choreography was nicely distributed through a variety of styles and sequences as well as eye-catching costumes and locations. Director Scott Speer presents stunning 3D visual effects and popping colors, sure to capture viewers’ attention. The leads’ chemistry translates vividly on the screen. Overall, the film is very enjoyable with high energy and spectacular dance routines.
The Blu-ray includes a standard version and a 3D version plus a digital Copy. It contains music videos like Goin’ In by Jennifer Lopez featuring Flo Rida and Lil Jon as well as Hands in the Air by Timbaland featuring Ne-Yo. Also included are deleted scenes; an audio commentary with the director, dance choreographer Jamal Sims and the leads, Kathryn and Ryan; plus all the dance sequences involved in the film. In addition, you can enjoy four featurettes — Making of the Mob, Becoming a Star, Dancing on Their Own and Choreography. Epic filmmaking.
The choreography was amazing in this movie. That is definitely what made this movie the best of all the Step Up��s. I watched this movie through my Blockbuster @Home service through DISH after one of my co-workers at DISH told me about it. I don��t usually go to the movies, so I completely forgot that this movie came out, and with the Blockbuster @Home service I the movies in my queue within days delivered to my doorstep. This option is awesome when it is a cold snowy day and I don��t want to go anywhere. The plot was good and definitely tied this movie all together nicely.
