Tatum O’Neal’s son arrested on drug charges

Former child actress actress Tatum O’Neal, who most recently appeared in The Runaways, was probably not surprised Tuesday night to learn her son, Kevin McEnroe, 27, was arrested on drug charges. (Both are pictured at left in 2004). Tatum, who has struggled with drug addiction since her teens, was arrested in 2008 for buying crack cocaine on a New York City street corner. Her half-brother, Redmond O’Neal, whose parents are Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, has also been arrested multiple times for drug possession. Kevin, whose father is tennis legend John McEnroe, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after authorities caught him buying drugs from Niro Meneses, 22, on a New York City street corner. Kevin was found with six envelopes of cocaine and more than a dozen prescription pills when arrested. He and his siblings were raised by his father, who won custody of the children in 1995 after Tatum was found to be using heroin. ~Andrea Hodgins
