Tetris_BoxshotThe well-loved Tetris game, which was popular in the ’80s thanks to the Nintendo Game Boy, will soon be hitting the big screen. This may come as a surprise to many fans, but how will the classic puzzle-piece game transform into a movie? Larry Kasanoff, CEO of Threshold Entertainment, told The Wall Street Journal: “It’s a very big, epic sci-fi movie. This isn’t a movie with a bunch of lines running around the page. We’re not giving feet to the geometric shapes.” He adds: “What you [will] see in Tetris is the teeny tip of an iceberg that has intergalactic significance.” There is an air of confidence as to how this will be received by the audience. Larry explains: “Brands are the new stars of Hollywood. We have a story behind Tetris which makes it a much more imaginative thing.” We certainly are curious as to how this spinoff will work. Are you looking forward to this potential blockbuster?
