The Canyons director slams Lindsay Lohan on Facebook

By Tribute on September 26, 2013 | 8 Comments

Paul Schrader, director of The Canyons, is not impressed with his lead actress Lindsay Lohan. The 67-year-old director expressed his rage on Facebook with a lengthy post in which he slammed the actress for her lack of support over the film. He wrote: “I am mystified and disappointed by LL’s refusal to support The Canyons. She is a producer of the film, a 25% owner. She has received wonderful reviews (among the negative) for her performance.” Even though the reviews were less than stellar, Paul kept on believing in Lindsay even when she proved to be unreliable. “I hired her when no one else would. She fought to keep the role when I wanted to fire her for unreliability. She has no other films in the can.” Paul was unimpressed with Lindsay for not making time to help the film out. She constantly blew off the film’s promotional photo shoots and interviews. Paul is also upset with Lindsay for not appearing at the Venice Film Festival. Lindsay promised to appear after her court-ordered rehab, but never showed. The Canyons was written by Bret Easton Ellis and co-stars real-life porn star James Deen. The film was shown at Venice, but was unaccepted into the Sundance Film Festival. ~Brie Davis

I don’t understand how they even hired her.. She’s a trainwreck, obviously she wouldnt have been able to handle the responsibilities of a real job

He wanted to fire her, he probably didn’t because he slammed her on the cutting room floor.

Paul Schrader needs a REALLY good phraphist for saying all those nasty mean comments about Lindsay Lohan. He knew what he was getting into….Bottom line she is young, gorgeous, talented, fascinating, she sparkles and it comes natural for her. But they/you will not control her. This is the problem with the Judges and Hollywood today. ( Control)Can you imagine someone telling Elizebeth Taylor,Grace Kelly or Bettie Davis, what to do?? Look at the work she has produce. She is a Hollywood star and always will be be, and that is “HOW SHE ROLLS” How many women could really play or act the part of Elisabeth Taylor, REALLY, how many??? Does she have babies to look after, and even if she did, she makes enough money for a full time nanny. Why ~ Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears or Angeline Jolie??? Leave the bad girls of Hollywood alone. Weather they are a rock ~ N ~ star or a actress. Lets take a close look, Bridget Bardo, Maralin Maroe, Stevie Nicks, Elizabeth Taylor or Lady Diana. This women of the world will not be restrained in any way.Not socially, emotionally, not by the press or media, the people choice, defiantly not the law. Lets take another look closely, again. They have had numerous affairs with presidents, did lots of cocaine, through them selves down stairs, had a dozen of husbands, sex vixens and finally, some of them took off there cloths! In front of a live aduitence or camera….IMAGINE. Lets not lose Lindsay Lohan, staring next to Jane Fonda at such a young age and holding her own in the spot light. Read all these names carefully. Be careful with your words. Lindsay Lohan is nothing less then a true blue Hollywood scarlet. Leave her alone! Health and Happiness Lindsay!! <3 xo

I believe you forgot to mention Audrey Hepburn and Katherine Hepburn. Also huge stars in Hollywood, and very classy sober ladies

Lindsay Lohan + Hollywood Starlet = oxymoron (“oxy” for the ingestion of a lexicon of party drugs and “moron” for the ongoing saga of self-destructive behavior that will only garner her a brief obit as another out-of-control child star who will undoubtedly flame out before she hits 30).

To Sam – and I’d like to add Meryl Streep as a very classy, sober lady – the very BEST.
To Margo – As for Lindsay – agree totally with you Margo. This girl had a crappy homelife with crappy absentee parents, so very messed up emotionally and all the money and booze and drugs available to her to wreck her own life with. Has she ever truly known discipline? She’s extremely talented. I very much like the girl and wish they’d stop inflating and dramatizing every little and big thing she does, getting in trouble with the law. I do worry about her in terms of having something in the back of my mind that she won’t live a long life. She is indeed a “trainwreck” emotionally and on a definite runaway train with a crash course destination if she doesn’t get the proper help. Stand firm Lindsay, even if you have to stand alone…..but DO keep standing.
