Comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will work together as co-hosts for the 70th annual Golden Globes awards, replacing Ricky Gervais who hosted the Golden Globes for the past three years. Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, said in a statement, “The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action.” Paul Telegdy, the president of Alternative and Late Night Programming said the NBC stars have a good relationship through their success in SNL and their roles in Baby Mama. The 2011 Golden Globe awards received 17 million views compared to the 16.8 million views for 2012. While the two ladies co-host the Golden Globes in January, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane will host the Oscars in February. ~Luxy Hariharan

Are they expected to beat 17millions viewers? I think Ricky Gervais brings a biting wit along with a little old school drinking while hosting. Why replace him? But I will watch Tina Fey and Amy. I think they are a great duo and very funny on both their shows.

@C-Dub you seriously think Ricky Gervais is funny? I think it's about time they bring in a fresh face. I agree both are really funny.
