Tom Hanks would officiate more weddings

Tom HanksTom Hanks wants to officiate more weddings.

The Captain Phillips star oversaw the secret wedding of Girls actress Allison Williams and her entrepreneur beau Ricky Van Veen last month and revealed he’s up for making it a regular occurrence, if the price is right.

Asked if he’d be up for marrying another couple, he joked: ”If people can afford the fee!”

The two-time Oscar winner spent just $35 on a course to be ordained for the ceremony at the luxury Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming, which means he’s now ”available for weddings.”

He previously revealed: ”I studied the divinity. I studied as a minister for nearly $35. Out of that I have a certificate that makes me available for weddings.”

But the actor – who has been married to his Sleepless In Seattle co-star Rita Wilson for more than 25 years – insisted he’s better as a guest at weddings as opposed to the person who officiates the ceremony because he’s great at setting up couples.

Speaking at the premiere of his new movie Bridge of Spies in NYC, he told the New York Daily News: ”I’m a great wingman.”
