It’s not often that a 14-year-old outshines her veteran co-stars — one of them a recent Oscar winner — but newcomer Hailee Steinfeld gives a brilliant performance in the Coen Brothers’ latest film, True Grit. Hailee plays the tenacious Mattie Ross, opposite the likes of Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Barry Pepper.
Tribute‘s Bonnie Laufer spoke with Hailee and a couple of her better-known co-stars to find out what makes this young up-and-coming actress so special.

“True Grit”=Great movie.
looks amazing…
I saw the first True Grit with the Duke and now this one …. he would be proud indeed of the remake. Other than the unique script and the way in which it was delivered , this is one of the best westerns I have ever seen.. GC
