Twilight Breaking Dawn hits the $500 million mark

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 30, 2011 | 4 Comments

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, has grossed over $500 million worldwide in 12 days — $223.4 million domestically and $285 million internationally. That’s not a record — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 earned $500 million in just six days — but it joins a group of eight other films that have made that much money this year. In contrast, Avatar, the highest grossing film of all time, took 32 days to reach $500 million. Prior Twilight instalments have also done well at the box office: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse wound up with $698.5 million in total box office sales, while The Twilight Saga: New Moon grossed $709.8 million globally. The Twilight Saga concludes with the release of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 on November 16, 2012.

    TO ALL WHO READS THIS:
Dont see this movie. I was sadly part of that 500 million bucks people spent on tickets and I regret it. Go see Tower Heist or The Muppets. Good movies, not this pile of crap. Unless your a twi-hard, they see it no matter what I say.

I would see this movie if Blade and Buffy were introduced to the cast, so they could lay waste to these pathetic characters.

I am not in the demographic that this movie is intending it for but I did catch the original one on a burned copy. I don’t get it??? The movie isn’t a love story it’s a story about obsession. Both Bella and Edward don’t love each other they are obsessed with each other. I always laugh when I hear what a great love story this series is.
