Dennis Sheehan (inset), longtime tour manager for the hit band U2, was found dead in his hotel this morning in Los Angeles. Paramedics were called, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s believed Sheehan suffered a massive heart attack.
U2 are currently working their way through a string of shows across Los Angeles. This sudden tragedy took the band members by complete surprise.
Bono made an official statement through the band’s website, which read: “We’ve lost a family member, we’re still taking it in. he wasn’t just a legend in the music business, he was a legend in our band. He is irreplaceable.”
Dennis had been with the band for 30 years. In addition to U2 he had worked with Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith and Lou Reed. He was 69 years old. ~Greg Chisholm

Must be a hard life working with rock bands.
I am sure he didn’t work for minimum wage and then have to deal with an unruly public. Then again, working with the divas of rock and roll might be very close. Since I didn’t know the man I hope he was a good soul and I wish him and his family well as he was young but older than my dad when I lost him.
