Following the success of Marvel’s The Avengers, Warner Bros. has announced plans to make DC Comics' Justice League. The studio originally planned to make the movie back in 2007 with director George Miller. The superhero group was to consist of young, upcoming stars such as Adam Brody as The Flash, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, and Armie Hammer as Batman. Unfortunately, circumstances at the time proved unfavorable mainly due to the 2007-2008 writers’ strike and the fact that Christopher Nolan had already made a Batman movie with Christian Bale as the lead.
If this project becomes a reality, this will give Warner Bros. the opportunity to reboot Batman, as well as give an opportunity for other DC superheroes to get a second chance on the big screen, such as The Green Lantern. Will Beall, screenwriter of Gangster Squad, has already been hired to work on the upcoming film. ~Isabelle Khoo
