Only three days have passed since close friends and family laid Whitney Houston to rest in a private ceremony. It has now been revealed that several of the singer’s personal belongings will be auctioned off in the Hollywood Legends auction to be held in Beverly Hills on March 31 and April 1. Some of Houston’s items will include a pair of faux-pearl earrings and a vest she wore in her 1992 breakthrough film The Bodyguard, as well as several of her dresses. “It proves a point that these items, they’re an investment,” auctioneer Darren Julien told the Associated Press. “You buy items just like a stock. Buy at the right time and sell at the right time, and they just increase in value.” Many fans have spoken out against the auction, saying it’s too soon after her death to be selling off her effects. But Julien believes it’s about more than just money. “It’s a celebration of her life,” he says. “These items are historic now that she passed. They become a part of history. They should be in museums.”

It’s way too soon! Whitney’s probably turning in her grave. And this Julien guy is so full of it trying to make it sound like it’s about mroe than the money. Its clearly all about the money.

Maybe she was in debt when she died and the family needs the money.

Trevor you continue to be consistent with tasteless and crude comments. I must admit, the sale is quick…the estate is striking while the iron is hot.
