Will new movie restart Kristen Stewart’s career?

By Tribute on August 8, 2012 | 16 Comments

As the trailer for Kristen Stewart‘s latest film, On The Road, makes its rounds, one can’t help but wonder what kind of effect the film will have on her career, or what effect her current situation will have on the film. Alongside Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen, Stewart takes on the character of Marylou, the teenage bride of ex-con Dean Moriarty. Unlike her past roles – for which she was criticized for her lack of emotion and somewhat uptight demeanor – this role involves a lot more skin and sex than we are used to seeing from her. In the midst of her latest scandal, having cheated on Twilight co-star and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, her performance in this role could be lost completely; simply giving the audience an easy way to back up their hatred for the recently unfaithful actress, or have the opposite effect and completely revamp her career. Hopefully, her indiscretions will not hurt the success of the movie, based on Jack Kerouac’s novel of the same name, when it hits theaters later this year. ~Morgan Bates

I hope it doesn’t restart her career… I hope she dissapears from film. There hasn’t been an actress as classless, boring, and distastful as her in a long time. There need to be more classy, beautiful and talented ladies on the big screen – ones who don’t disgrace us. There are so many amazing actresses! Why is she getting all these roles?!

I hope her career doesnt get a kick start. She’s not really that great of an actress and I doubt she ever will be. Sorry sweetheart, but you need to leave the acting to some real stars.

I just watched the trailer for On the Road. I’ve never been a huge fan of Kristen Stewart, but she seems to be a good fit to play a messed up druggie. She probably shouldn’t play any other role…

Though she’s not that great of an actress, she’ll probably be in a lot more movies coming up based solely on the fact that everyone loves to hate her. Plus she gets word out in the news.. good publicity. What a shame, eh?

Ugh, this girl needs to get out of the news! I’m so sick of hearing about her. Hollywood needs to get her off the silver screen

The world should just collectively agree to shun this girl and pretend she doesn’t exist… and it needs to start with hollywood shunning her from their films 🙂

I’ve been looking forward to On the Road for quite some time. I think the trailer looks awesome. Whether or not this will help Stewart’s career.. I have no clue. But it seems like a good role for her. Hopefully the critics like it. With all this bashing, I think she really needs a win.

I won’t deny dissing Stewart’s performance in the first few Twilight movies, but I definitely think she is at least decent in a few of her other roles. This looks like a great role for her, and I think she may have just become someone the world loves to hate, and if she gets to do what she loves while she makes millions..what does she care who likes her?

Any publicity is good publicity. She has her share of fans no matter what and people will still watch the movie.
But ya, I agree her acting is stale and the same in everything I’ve accidentialy seen her in. By that I mean a girlfriend made me watch Twilight a couple years ago. Panic Room, it sort of worked cause she was young and diabetic, so the eyes worked well.

We live in a society where it’s good to be bad. She’ll probably get MORE roles from this. When Lianne Rimes cheated on her husband, she seem to come out just fine from it.

Kristen should not be in movies or anything with advertistment. She has no talent. There are so many young and very talented actresses in hollywood. And because Twilight made so much money roles are being offered to her. But the Twilight movies got fans who fell in love with the everlasting love of Edward and Bella. Not on the acting ability of Kristen. We have to seen Hollywood Summit Studio’s and Lionsgate, any studio that supports this no talent female we will boycott. Money is hard to come by so don’t wasted on someone who can’t act. She rich already she won’t be hurting.

I like her acting inso mant ways she played some good major roles like in panic and I have seen the pricess and the huntsman that role was fantastic for her,but she made a real bad
choice. It wasn’t an indescretion it was that she accepted the advances of a married man
I don’t care if he initiated it but she should have been tactful to refuse him and she did not
the way they found at each other she seemed to like it.

Robert Pattinson is what we call a Puritan in a sense because he has values and those made him want the fans wanted a dedicated person to the one he loves, sounds like a song. If she acts on the second film of the princess,I believe that that bastard Rupert sanders who is obsessed with like a mad dog looking for a bone to lick that would be her. that horny toad will f*** anything that is in front of him and he would care less with his wife. does anyone think that he will agree to his wife’s terms when a lot of money I involve? fame and ego rules.

My advice to Kristen is go back to your mom’s place do not stay on that producer’s place because he too will play on your depression and vulnerability. The moment you are comfy with he take the chance and f*** you too. I am a man but a different kind I highly regard my moral values because when one makes a vow or promise he or she must uphold it that is what we call faith an trust.without those you are no thing. If you do not leave that place your fans will believe that you really
Enjoy being screwed by others. They are going to think that you are nothing but a whore!!!

I can only hope I never have to see her quirky acting or hear her monotone voice on the big screen again.

Renota Johns, I agree. However, Summit Entertainments distributing Perks of Being A Wallflower, so Im going to see that boycott or not. Abd yes, its unfair that classy and talented actresses get passed over for roles just because a trashbag like K-Stupid (yes I’m calling her that dont judge me) is able to garner attention from the press. Personally, if I were a Hollywood agent, I would be looking for actresses with talent (Emily Browning and Abbie Cornish for example) instead of someone who will give the movie huge buzz (Kristen and Lindsay Lohan for example)

Kristen Stewart is gross. She has no class, just bad habits. She is a home wrecker too.
