Jeremy Renner: I’ll teach daughter to use mascara

Jeremy RennerJeremy Renner will teach his daughter Ava how to apply her mascara when she grows up – because he is very skilled with a makeup brush.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron star has a hidden talent that will come in very handy when the little tot – whom he and his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco welcomed into the world two years ago – becomes a teenager.

Speaking about his formative years working as a female makeup artist, Jeremy, 44, said: “I was doing community theater in Modesto, California, where you have to learn to do your own makeup. Then this job opened up that paid good money. My job as a makeup artist was to empower women.

“There’s more social acceptance of (men wearing makeup) as you get older. Not that if I had a son I’d be telling him to put on mascara. I have a daughter, so I’ll teach her how to put on mascara.”

The actor has worked his way up to become one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors, but always took his old job very seriously.

He explained: “I thought, ‘Why do women ultimately wear makeup?’ Maybe they want a guy’s opinion on what actually looks good. My philosophy about make-up is, ‘How can I make this individual feel the best they can feel about themselves?'”
