Keira Knightley’s 2012 is shaping up to be quite an eventful year. Not only does she have two films scheduled for release but her publicist has revealed she’s also engaged. Sara Keene confirmed on Friday that the British actress is engaged to her boyfriend, James Righton, keyboardist for the indie rock group Klaxons. This is the first marriage for both Knightley and her soon-to-be hubby. Keene also revealed the couple does not wish to make a statement or reveal any wedding plans, opting to keep things private. The Pirates of the Caribbean star has been with Righton for 15 months since meeting through their mutual friend, British TV personality Alexa Chung. She’s previously been linked to actors Rupert Friend and Jamie Dornan. Knightley burst onto the scene in 2002 after wowing audiences in the soccer movie Bend it Like Beckham. Up next for her is the Steve Carell comedy Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, set to hit theaters June 22. ~Kyle Sharp
