Mel Gibson in therapy

Mel Gibson reportedly had therapy to help him “extricate himself” from his now ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, with whom he has an eight-month-old daughter called Lucia. The couple’s relationship has become increasingly acrimonious, with Oksana filing a restraining order against Mel and alleging he hurt her during an argument in Malibu on January 6, resulting in him being investigated for possible domestic violence. Mel has filed paperwork seeking custody of Lucia. Over the last few weeks, a number of recordings in which a man believed to be Mel uses racist and profane language towards Oksana have been released. It has now been claimed Mel was aware his relationship with Oksana was unhealthy and sought professional help earlier this year. “He realized how unhealthy the relationship was and recognised that they were in a bad place and he was getting his buttons pushed,” a source told People. “He wanted to figure out how to extricate himself from this unhealthy relationship peacefully and calmly. Which is what he did.” The source says the 54-year-old is still talking to a therapist as he deals with the allegations against him. “He’s coping as well as can be expected.”

I don’t think the therapy worked judging from his violent outbursts on the audio recordings.

This is not a peaceful or a calm man.

“he was getting his buttons pushed”…spoken like a true abuser.

and when he “extricated” himself from the unhealthy relationship, he did what any normal person would do, he took her teeth with him. I agree with you J. there is no peace in him. He does seem to have some serious deep rooted anger and hate in him. Too bad, I used to really like this guy and have, until recently, still enjoyed watching all his oldies.
