Michael Schumacher, seven-time Formula One champion, is currently being treated by doctors who are unable to predict his outcome following a skiing accident on Sunday. Chief anesthesiologist Jean-Francois Payen told the media that Michael was still in a medically induced coma. “He is in a critical state in terms of cerebral resuscitation. We are working hour by hour.” Michael immediately underwent brain surgery when he was admitted to the hospital on Sunday. The German race car driver was skiing with his son in the French Alpine resort of Meribel when he fell on a rock and hit his head. He was airlifted to a local hospital and then moved to Grenoble. Jean-Francois also revealed that the champion driver would not have survived the fall if he were not wearing a helmet. Formula One drivers and fans have been sending their well wishes fro his quick recovery. ~Marriska Fernandes
