Morgan Freeman snoozes during live TV interview

Morgan Freeman must have been in desperate need of sleep as he dozed off during an early morning live television interview. While promoting his upcoming crime thriller Now You See Me with co-star Michael Caine at the Seattle-based local news station Q13 Fox, The Shawshank Redemption star showed viewers he was slightly on the sleepy side Wednesday morning. As Caine was discussing the magic tricks seen in the film, Freeman was having a hard time keeping his eyes open. He gave occasional nods in apparent agreement to Caine’s explanations. After cutting back to the interview from the film’s trailer, Freeman was noticeably snoozing with his head down (watch the interview below). Freeman was then asked for advice on being a good narrator, to which he answered, “It’s being a good reader, that’s all, and having a clear voice.” Freeman sent USA TODAY a statement in regards to the incident: “I wasn’t actually sleeping. I’m a beta tester for Google Eyelids. I was merely updating my Facebook page.” ~Rebecca Raveendran
