New American Idol judges announced

Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have been unveiled as the new American Idol judges. The show’s host Ryan Seacrest made the announcement during a live webcast yesterday from Los Angeles. He first introduced veteran judge, producer Randy Jackson, who is the only original judge remaining on the panel after Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi all announced they were leaving the show earlier this year. Aerosmith frontman Steven was then introduced on stage, followed by a smiling Jennifer who revealed she is confident the new judging panel will discover the hottest talent yet. “I’m so excited. It’s about concentrating on the moment and doing the best you can, you can do anything you want in this life,” Jennifer, who looked stunning in a pale jumpsuit, told the crowd. “I’m looking for the next Michael Jackson! I want it to be the best American Idol ever!” Jennifer is said to have signed a $12 million deal to appear on the judging panel. The new series of American Idol will allow aspiring musicians to submit their auditions via MySpace and they are also dropping the contestant age limit to 15.

I enjoyed the original American Idol Team – Simon, Paula, Randy and there’s no doubt that Simon was the glue that held it together. And I thought that Kara was great too, although Ellen seemed oddly out of place and uncomfortable. But without the acerbic, witty, and funny comments made by Simon at the end of each contestant’s performance after the rest of the panel had commented, I wonder if the new American Idol team can live up to our expectations. In addition I am looking forward Simon’s new show. Still like millions of others I’ll be tuning in for the first show!!

Yah, I can just see Jennifer and Stephan risking their own record sales by giving bad singers a hard time like Simon! It’s so not going to happen.
This is going to be a train wreck.

This is going to be the lamest show ever. I don’t like any of those judges. Kara at least knew what she was talking about and Ellen was funny and sweet. These guys are going to be complete duds. I’ll watch Simon’s new show, does anyone know when it’s going to be on?

I used to tune into Idol for the shear entertainment value!
    That was definitely SIMON&PAULA!!
I really couldn’t care less who won, except for when Adam lost out!
I will miss the arrogance&harsh honesty that Simon dished out,Paula, being in her own little world and not even knowing it!
What will Idol be without Simon and his too white teeth and body hugging t-shirts and that wicked yet adorable wink!
Intoxication,oh Paula I miss you so!!
Randy, call Simon and beg to be on X-Factor and you can re-unite with Paula! Now that would be a show worth watching!!
