Paranormal Activity (2007)

A young couple living in a suburban neighbourhood begin experiencing a nightly demonic presence in their home. This film uses a number of different handheld camera angles, as well as cameras installed in the house to show what’s going on, giving it that found footage feel instead of live or regular film. It’s creepy when you see stuff moving around the house or when the time speeds up and the girlfriend just stands there the whole time. The effects used were creepy and cool and make for a great movie night. As a bonus, there are five other films in this series to watch. You’ll never look at your house the same again.
