Highest-Grossing Canadian Films
With their catchy tracks (and at times, questionable behavior), singers Drake and Justin Bieber are putting Canada on the music map in ways the country hasn’t experienced in years. But what many people don’t realize is that The True North strong and free has a lot to be proud of on screen as well. Canada has been the fuel of many a successful film’s fire, and to prove this we’ve gone far and wide to compile a list of the highest-grossing films starring Canadian actors; written, directed, or produced by Canadians; and shot in Canada (a 2014 CNN article listed the country’s “stand-in movie locations” as one of the 10 things Canada does better than anywhere else).
