Actors Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger from the A Nightmare on Elm Street films) and Lance Henrikson (Bishop from the Aliens films) were on hand at the red ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday to launch Fan Expo Canada at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The event takes place over four days, from August 25th to 28th and has attractions and celebrities that will delight horror, sci-fi, gaming, anime and video game fans. Thousands lined up down the block for opening day, some dressed as their favorite characters. Just a few of the celebrities who will be at the Expo include Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy of the Harry Potter films), Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman (I Dream of Jeannie), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), Malcom McDowell (A Clockwork Orange), William Shatner (Star Trek), Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Sam Trammell (True Blood), Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Soul Survivors), Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man) and Katee Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica). There are plenty of autograph and photo ops over the next three days. Also scheduled are Fan Expo Speed Dating, panels, Q&A sessions and plenty of memorabilia for sale. Check out the photos to see some of the highlights. Photos and text by Alexandra Heilbron

And if you’re posting on this website, you should already be one. Insulting movie geeks on a movie themed website? HaHa alright…
Cool photos, it looks like it would be a lot of fun for people into that stuff.
Hell, if they’d throw some LOTR in there I’d dress up too!
