By Alexandra Heilbron on July 28, 2008 | 12 Comments

Shia LaBeoufShia LaBeouf, 21, was involved in a car crash at approximately 3 a.m. in Hollywood yesterday morning, in which the Ford F-150 pickup truck he was driving rolled over. Shortly after, he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Wolf said, “It was immediately apparent to officers responding on the scene that LaBeouf was intoxicated and he was subsequently placed under arrest,” Wolf said. LaBeouf was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for injuries to his head, left hand and knee. The female passenger in LaBeouf’s car and the driver of the other vehicle, also a woman, sustained minor injuries. LaBeouf, who most recently appeared in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,  has had a number of minor brushes with the law prior to this latest incident.

What the hell! Just when you thought that MAYBE someone in “young Hollywood” wouldn’t end up as stupid and irresponsible as the rest. No one has the right to put others lives at risk. I used to be a HUGE fan of Shia LaBeouf, but now I have lost all respect for him.

Shame on you, Shia. Get your act together.

Don’t these young “stars” have enough money to hire personal drivers so that they can go out and enjoy themselves and let someone else do the driving?

    How irresponsible.

he’s only human, we make mistakes. Like you don’t know some one who has been drinking and driving, hell for all I know you have done it to.

Personally, I don’t agree with drinking and driving at all! I don’t believe in the .08 limit either. Drinking and driving is just that, whether it is .03 or .09.

Yet the entertainment industry is still going to report when he picks his nose…
When these people do things like this, we should toss them to the junk pile and look for more positive people to report about.
    Tribute, you’re listening I hope.

Honestly I agree drinking and driving is wrong but I still love Shia… it’s like Micheal Jackson I don’t agree with his lifestyle but I love his music… same with Shia I think he’s a talented actor but I don’t agree with anyone having a few drinks and getting behind the wheel…

Who cares about what he does….he was jamming with some broads and flipped his truck…big whoop..you should be more happy that he is still alive!…..I don’t condone the drinking and driving even though I’ve done it but hes just like any other person in their early 20’s….Obviously i dont know the dude personally….but the mistakes that one does helps that person to grow and learn from them….except lindsay lohan (Crack WhorE)

Patrick, drinking and driving is not a mistake…it is a choice…a very stupid choice! The same with the choice the girl in his passenger seat made. I am happy they are ALL alive but, the only innocent “victim” in all of this is the lady in the other vehicle he collided with. Drinking and driving affects all of us, not just the one in the drunken stupor!

  10. Nancy • July 28, 2008 @ 7:57 PM

Actually, I should have said the lady in the other vehicle…as the picky pickies on here will say that the article does not mention him “colliding” with another vehicle. So, I’ll just say the lady in the other vehicle!

its not limited to those “in their early 20’s”, Patrick, nor is it a certainty with that age group, statistically they are high in numbers, but many many much older people are still drinking and driving. It should never be excused, for ANY reason. Unfortunately way too many of these intoxicated drivers do learn their lesson at the expense of many innocent lives.

how about NOT drinking and driving…ever

Ok, so the accident was the other drivers fault…she ran a red light. So, she is not so innocent either. Now they will both be charged, I guess.
