Famke Janssen‘s New York City pad was the target of an unusual break-in last weekend, sources told the New York Daily News. Famke, 47, who is best known as Jean Grey in the X-Men film franchise, filed a police report claiming that she found a copy of Dare Wright’s 1957’s children’s book titled, The Lonely Doll, when she returned to her King Street home at 8:10 p.m. on Saturday. The book, with its eerie black and white cover of a doll staring into a corner, does not belong to Famke and was left on the shelf of her bed. The incident that was first reported by TMZ is being investigated as a burglary, despite the fact that none of the actress’ possessions were stolen. Detectives will continue searching through surveillance footage taken at the lobby of Famke’s apartment. ~Alfonso Espina
