I’ve been a fan of Leo since What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Basketball Diaries. His Oscar win is long overdue. He’s not only a brilliant actor but uses his fame and stature to better the world with his philanthropy and stance on environmental issues. With Leo in the lead and, the fact that it’s based on true events, makes this film a must see for me.

  23. Amit C • March 22, 2016 @ 5:58 PM

I watched all the best film nominations and honestly The Revenant should have won best film. Spotlight was good, but not as good as The Revenant. I will never forget the scene where Leo gets attacked by a bear. His perfomance in the film is by far the best performance I have seen from a actor in years. I am very glad he received the Best Actor award for this film because he truly deserved it. If you have not seen it, watch it. You will not be disappointed.

  80. Scott Simpson • March 23, 2016 @ 5:49 PM

Personally it would be amazing to see this powerful and emotional movie with my parents at home. Sadly, I am unable to go to the theatres because of my disability (back injury)…so I’m basically stuck at home all the time because of it.
Also, for me personally, hearing about just how difficult the “shoot” was for Leonardo and the cast and crew…..just being able to watch and basically “experience” all they had to go through and suffer through for the few months……but then know they made it through just might give ME a little “boost” to my own personal situation knowing that even the most healthiest people have struggles in life, but eventually, they too will get through it if they have the right support and people who care about them surrounding them (in Leo’s case….it was the cast, crew/support teams, etc.). Thank you for this chance to win this amazing prize.
