Watch The BFG’s larger than life second trailer

By Tribute on May 16, 2016 | 1 Comment

The stunning second trailer for the 3D animated feature The BFG has hit the web, enchanting viewers, and taking the first trailer a (big) step further. This time, we get to know a lot more about this mysterious and otherworldly giant. He is a Bone Cruncher, Meat Dripper, Gizzard Gulper, Butcher Boy — he is The Big Friendly Giant.

This “BFG” has transported a little girl named Sophie from her dreary English orphanage to his lush home in Giant Country, where the two unlikely allies set off an adventure awash with even bigger and more dangerous giants, unbelievable magic, awe-inspiring miracles and, of course, long-lasting friendship.

Directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg, the film takes an entirely modern and visually epic spin on the classic children’s book by Roald Dahl, with newcomer Ruby Barnhill as the precocious Sophie and Oscar-winner Mark Rylance as the big, friendly giant.

The BFG, co-starring Rebecca Hall, Penelope Wilton and Bill Hader, hits theaters on July 1.

Pumped to see this! And glad Mark Rylance and Penelope Wilton are getting more work. My guess is it’ll be one of the biggest children’s movies of the summer. Bit of a risky move to cast a no-name in the lead role of Sophie though…
