Tribute's Bonnie Laufer talks to Seann William Scott about yucking it up in Evolution, now available on video and DVD.

Q: Seann, your career has just sky rocketed in the last few years, but what was it like to work on an Ivan Reitman movie?
A: It was insane, but awesome and a dream come true. I just wanted to be in the movie and I never thought that I'd be in this huge summer massive hit. It was so much fun to work with Ivan as a director. I worked with him on Road Trip, which he produced, but I didn't get a chance to talk to him too much. Sometimes I had to pinch myself on the set of Evolution. This was a guy whose movies I grew up watching, that I rented with friends so to see him excited and believe in what he's doing, as an actor I felt extremely lucky.

Q: I heard that David Duchovny and Orlando Jones picked on you quite a bit while making the film.
A: Ya, but it was fun. I just loved those guys so much. Listen, I'm glad that they even talked to me and were cool to me, because they could have been real personal and quiet, but it was a blast. I knew of Orlando's stuff, and he was such a great fun person to be around. David Duchovny has been one of my favourite actors for a long time and he's such a good person and so funny. I was just excited to be around him.

Q: American Pie 2, soon to be out on video. What is in store for Stifler and his mom for those that missed it on the big screen?
A: Everybody is back. I think this one is even funnier than the first one if you can believe that!

Q: Have you guys grown up at all or are you all just having a good time?
A: It takes place during their first year in college and it's basically about how everyone reacts to being there and what goes on. We hadn't seen each other for awhile, so it's really funny just to see the characters relating to each other again.

Q: I heard something about band camp?
A: (laughs) Yes, I don't want to give THAT away, but we do explore band camp.

Q: You have a new look. You've grown a beard. Is this for the movie that you are filming right now?
A: Yes, I'm shooting a dramatic thriller in Vancouver called Stark Raving Mad and it's by the guys who produced Memento and Pulp Fiction. It's a dark character for me, so I think its going to be great, pretty mind blowing. I can't wait for people to see this other side of what I can do.
