Carey refuses to share with JLo
Mariah Carey has turned down Grammy organizer's request to do a duet with Jennifer Lopez. Carey told them not only wouldn't she do it, "I'd rather share the stage with a pig - a duet with Jennifer and me ain't gonna happen." Lopez wasn't too keen on the idea either, but declined in a classier fashion, saying "No way - I work alone. Thanks, but no thanks."

 

  Director Demme dies
Director Ted Demme died on Sunday at the age of just 38. Demme, the nephew of Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme, collapsed after playing an afternoon basketball game and was in full cardiac arrest by the time paramedics got him to the hospital. Demme was just coming off a year of critical acclaim, having directed the bio-pic Blow, starring Johnny Depp.
 

  Minor car crash for Aniston
Friends star Jennifer Aniston found herself in a minor car accident this week. While driving in a residential neighbourhood near Sunset Boulevard, a motorist backed out of a driveway, broad-siding the actress' Jaguar. With minor damage to her vehicle, Aniston drove away to be checked by her own doctor. No charges were filed.
 

  Late night nuptials
NBC late-night funnyguy Conan O'Brien tied the knot with ad executive Liza Powel in Seattle on Saturday. The pair got engaged last July, about a year after O'Brien met her when she appeared in one of his talk show's skits.
