ADELAIDE CLEMENS

Born in Brisbane, Australia, Adelaide Clemens and her family moved to vastly different locals around the world in the years following her birth. Living in Hong Kong, Japan and Cognac, Franceit wasn’t until Adelaide was 12 that her family finally returned to her native Australia.
In 2006, Adelaide landed her first acting gig on Aussie teenage surfer TV drama Blue Water High. For the next five years She acted in several Australian series, including Pirate Islands: The Lost Treasure of Fiji, Love My Way and Out of the Blue and in 2008 she was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding New Talent.
Later that year, Adelaide played Rose in the MTV Australia TV film Dream Life as well as acting a small role in the medical drama All Saints. Adelaide made her feature film debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and shortly after, moved to Los Angeles. Relocated to the entertainment capital of the world, Adelaide picked up minor roles in award-winning American productions such as HBO’s The Pacific and worked alongside director/ actor Tim Roth in the TV crime drama Lie to Me.
The young Aussie has shown her diversity by playing an increasingly wide range of roles, like a suicidal mother named Ladybird in acclaimed Japanese director Shunji Iwai’s English-language debut Vampire and a sociopathic prostitute alongside Keanu Reeves in Generation Um….
Adelaide stars as haunted protagonist Heather Mason in Silent Hill sequel, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. She was named by Inside Film Magazines on their list of the 25 rising young Australian actors of 2012. With a role in Baz Luhrmann's highly-anticipated F. Scott Fitzgerald adaptation The Great Gatsby and currently acting in BBC/ HBO/VRT co-produced mini-series Parade's End, her star continues to rise.
