Christopher Jacot Biography

CHRISTOPHER JACOT

Date of Birth: June 30, 1979

Christopher Jacot studied acting at the National Theatre School of Canada, then honed his skills on the stage before making his screen debut in the small budget film, Short for Nothing (1998).

Guest appearances on American TV shows filmed in the Toronto area followed, including Twice in a Lifetime for PAX, Disney Channel's The Famous Jett Jackson, Paramount's Relic Hunter and Fox Family Channel's The Zach Files. He also played Pierre Boucher in the prestigious CBC TV mini-series Canada: A People's History (2000).

Jacot's second film was the big budget American feature, Get Over It (2001), starring Kirsten Dunst and Colin Hanks. Later that year, he landed the regular role of Alex Bellows on the sci-fi TV series MythQuest. Though the show only lasted one season, he soon won a regular role on the sixth season of the hit MTV series Undressed.

In 2003, Jacot traveled to Alberta to film a role in the TNT TV movie Word of Honor, starring Don Johnson. The following year, he played his first major starring role in a film in Going the Distance (2004).

Fluent in the French language, Jacot is also a talented athlete -- adept at weight lifting, gymnastics, yoga, horseback riding, skating and skiing.
