Clémence Poésy Biography

CLÉMENCE POÉSY

Date of Birth: November 30, 1982

As talented as she is gorgeous, French beauty Clémence Poésy first stunned world audiences as the mysterious and alluring Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Few would argue Poésy's success has been anything short of magical ever since.

Growing up in a Paris suburb, Poésy's unusual childhood saw her attend alternative schools and drama training, landing small roles on French television before her 2004 breakout role in the BBC mini-series Gunpowder, Treason & Plot.

Catching the eyes of British audiences, Poésy soon took a small role in 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, leading to an appearance in 2008's Oscar-nominated In Bruges, staring opposite Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. In the following years Poésy took on an eclectic mix of everything from modeling jobs to French films, including roles in the small-screen hit Gossip Girl, and the Danny Boyle directed 127 Hours.

Having reprised her role as Fleur Delacour in the first of the final Harry Potter films, 2010's The Deathly Hallows: Part 1, keep your eyes peeled for this up-and-coming foreign beauty in the French film Jeanne Captive, and the concluding Harry Potter tale, 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Poésy, whose film career is kicking into full gear, hasn't made much of a scene in the tabloids quite yet, but earlier this year an off screen romance with Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick was rumored to be heating up. Wishful thinking, or undeniable chemistry, the two locked lips in the latest season of the teen hit, no doubt stoking the rumor mill coals.
