DASH MIHOK
Date of Birth: May 24, 1974
Dash Mihok was born in New York's West Village to parents who were active in theater and the arts. Mihok's parents encouraged him to explore his creative side, so in high school he joined up with City Kids, a foundation that engages and develops children through productions based on character building and self-esteem. As part of City Kids, Mihok put on shows with Jim Henson and his muppets.
Throughout Mihok's early career he appeared on the television shows New York Undercover, NYPD Blue, Law & Order and Pearl, and had a recurring role as Lynn McKennan on Felicity (1999).
Mihok's big screen debut was in the racially-themed independent film Black Is White. He then appeared in Barry Levinson's Sleepers (1996) and in Foxfire (1996) opposite Angelina Jolie. Although both performances were strong, Mihok gained more recognition as Benvolio in Baz Luhrmann's modern adaptation of Romeo + Juliet (1996). He has continued on with many supporting roles in various independent and big Hollywood movies such as Telling You (1996), opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt and Peter Facinelli, The Thin Red Line (1998), The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and Hollywoodland (2006). Mihok also stars in the thriller Punisher: War Zone (2008), opposite Ray Stevenson and Dominic West and Silver Linings Playbook alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
