ED SPELEERS

Born in Chichester, England, Ed Speleers had only done amateur school plays before winning the title role in the major motion picture Eragon (2006).
The filmmakers had conducted a worldwide casting search, and out of 180,000 other applicants, Speleers was chosen just days before filming began.
Speleers, who comes from a broken home (his mother lives in Spain and his father in London), finished his schooling at Eastbourne College, a private boarding school in East Sussex in June 2006. He is looking forward to pursuing acting fulltime.
