Horatio Sanz Biography

HORATIO SANZ

Date of Birth: June 4, 1969

Born in Santiago, Chile, Horatio Sanz was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He realized early in life that he had a talent for comedy and began performing with Chicago’s Second City comedy troupe. Sanz made his film debut with a small role as an orderly in the remake of Miracle on 34th Street (1994) and in 1998, he made the first of several guest appearances on Comedy Central’s Upright Citizen’s Brigade. Also in 1998, he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, becoming the long-running show’s first Latino cast member.

Sanz landed roles in several other films such as Road Trip (2000), Tomcats (2001) and The New Guy (2002), but his biggest break to date came when he landed a co-starring role opposite Cuba Gooding Jr. in Boat Trip (2003). He lives in New York City.
